I think they got it right, and that Ward's recreational drug use might torpedo a civil suit.

Right move. While it's possible that Stewart had ill intent, it's impossible to prove. Anyone who gets out of their vehicle on a live racetrack is putting themselves in an absurdly dangerous position.

No, the fact that Ward got out of his car and ran across an active racetrack while almost certainly have signed a number of liability waivers in advance will torpdeo a civil suit.

I suggest removing the video from post. Or else the mods will.
You don't want to be on the shit list.

Makes sense. My initial thoughts were that unless the other cameras showed something substantially different that was obscured on the publicly released one there was no way they would indict. Seems that's the way it went.

Now I can't get the article to pop up. What's the issue - are videos a problem?

that one is. There was an announcement that, that video didn't need to be here (oppositelock). Porsche914/6 posted it if you want to look for it. Just giving you a heads up.

Racing is inherently dangerous, if you aren't willing to accept that danger don't get in the car. Getting out of your car on an active track and seeking a confrontation is suicidal, if you don't want to die don't get out of the car. I hope his family is clearheaded enough to realize that any civil suit will help no one but the lizards, I mean lawyers.
